This preliminary report summarizes equipment functionality rates, common failure modes, and the presence (or absence) of biomedical engineering support across partner hospitals in Western Uganda. Key findings highlight the critical need for both trained personnel and basic tools for preventive maintenance. The assessment informs how we prioritise Incubator Program placements and training content.
